Bespoke solutions from our London studio

Since 1976 we have achieved outstanding recognition in the design of corporate identities and branding across a wide range of sectors for companies large and small. From our London studio our team has successfully worked with businesses across the UK and internationally.

Why A Good Logo Is Important

Having an effective logo for your business has many great benefits. It gives you a visual identity that people will remember. It becomes the face of your business – when people think of a company or brand, they will immediately think of the logo. Without a memorable identity it can be much more difficult for your business to stand out from the crowd.

Great brands and successful companies all have identities that stand for them as a beacon that represents who they are, what they do, and above all offers trust and reassurance of professional experience in their industry. When you see a well known logo, you will have already invoked your own memories, experience and interactions with it and already know what it means to you.

A professional logo design should be created that reflects your business or brand – its philosophy, its ambitions, its products or services. At Clinton Smith our experienced team are able to create strategic solutions for your business.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How much does a logo cost?

There are a number of factors that need to be understood before an accurate cost can be provided. As a professional design agency our in-house design team hand craft bespoke logo designs for each client based on the brief provided. A logo could be just the company name in a suitable typeface, it could include an icon or emblem, it could also require some unique illustration design. Or sometimes a client really does not know what they want exactly, so our design team would need to explore many possibilities from any limited information provided, whilst researching the market the company is competing in.

Please contact us to discuss your logo requirement and we will be happy to provide a quote.

How do I commission a logo design?

If you have some idea of what you want your logo to look like, or even if you don’t, contact us to discuss your needs and we will be happy to put together a quote for you. You can call us on +44 (0)20 7267 7727, email us at info@clintonsmith.co.uk, or use our enquiry form. If you prefer to talk to us in person, you are welcome to make an appointment to pop in to our London studio and meet the team.

If you are unsure of exactly how to brief us on your requirements, please click here to fill out our online Logo Questionnaire, which includes a variety of specific questions that will help us understand what you are after.

Do you create logos for startups?

Yes we do! In fact a large percentage of the work we undertake is for startups and small independent businesses looking for a unique identity.

We understand how many startups struggle to stand out from the crowd and welcome the challenge to create an identity to help them set themselves apart. And as a multi-disciplined design agency, we can also provide additional services – such as: business card & stationery design and printing, promotional leaflets and flyers, advertising design for both print and digital platforms, social media profile and header images, product packaging and label design, and the design and development of a modern, mobile-friendly, website (including online stores).

How do I rebrand my business?

Rebranding your business is usually undertaken due to one or many factors. But whatever that reason my be, our team of experienced designers have helped a number of companies reassert themselves in the marketplace with a new brand that helps them to reach their objectives.

A rebrand can include a complete change of identity, with a new logo and corporate styling, or it could be a refresh of an already successful brand identity that just develops the existing brand look to fit in with current trends or a particular marketplace.

So once you have identified what your objectives are with a rebrand, get in touch with our London studio and we can then discuss your requirements and provide you with a proposal that will address all that is required to make the rebrand a success.

Do you offer logo design & stationery packages?

Yes. As a multi-disciplined design studio we can design and arrange printing of business cards, letterheads, compliment slips, invoices and any other requirements you may have.

Let us know what you require and we will be happy to provide a quote for the additional items.

What's involved in creating a logo design?

Once we have agreed on fees and the work to be undertaken, our team of designers will set to work on developing and designing your new logo.

We will review and discuss your brief, and do any necessary research in to your business marketplace to analyse how we could create some insightful creative ideas that could be applied in the design concepts we create.

Once our team have completed a range of design concepts we will then review them, select the best options and sometimes make a few refinements based on our own discussions. We will then create a digital presentation of the logos and send them through to you for review.

Following your feedback we can make any requested amends to a selected logo (or shortlist), until you are completely satisfied with your selection.*

Once a final logo concept is selected we will then create and send you final logo artwork for you to use.

*Requests to carry out developments, refinements or a change of brief will be charged at our standard hourly rate unless otherwise agreed.

How logo does it take to design a logo?

We usually allow 7-10 working days before we present our design concepts to you, as we like to spend time thinking and researching ideas, rather than trying to rush.

However, if you require a logo sooner, do let us know when you need it and we will try our best to accommodate this.

What do I receive when I have selected a logo design?

Once a final logo concept is selected we will then create final logo artwork for you to use. If you have agreed to pay for our full artwork package (outlined as an option in our quote), we will provide you with a range of files suitable for all print and digital usages and a PDF logo guidelines specifying colours and font usage. If you have chosen not to have the artwork package we will supply a large JPG image of the logo only.

Do you require a deposit?

We do ask new clients for a 50% deposit before undertaking any work requested, with the remaining fee payable before we send through any artwork of final design files.

What if I do not like any of the designs presented?

As professional logo designers we will use our experience and knowledge to produce creative solutions that directly answers the criteria of any brief we have received. We do also include a range of conceptual options that take advantage of the unexpected, look at things in a new way and build on ideas to create better solutions. The logos we create should not necessarily be looked upon using just personal taste, as there is a much greater perspective we have considered that reinforces our commitment to developing an identity that we believe would work for you.

However, if from our presentation of concepts you believe that an alternative approach is required, please advise us on what your new brief entails, along with some critical feedback on the concepts produced, and we can then discuss how we could find the best design solution for your needs.
